SYNOPSYS:
While all others cower at their nightmares, One curious kid dares to push his dreams to the limits and finds himself being pulled into the beyond causing his dreams and reality to collide in this epic psychological thriller.
THE SET UP
Think Matrix meets Alice in Wonderland in an action packed, psycohlogical thriller that explores the other worlds within our dreams and shines light on the unspoken symptoms of Sleep paralysis while our protagonist (Daetrix) has to face his nightmares and alter his reality along his kick-ass adventures.
THE PROJECT:
to create a series of animated episodes that comprise into one full lenght film set to a banging multi-genre soundtrack.

WHAT IS SLEEP PARALYSIS?
What is Sleep Paralysis?
Sleep paralysis is a phenomenon in which people, either when falling asleep or wakening, temporarily experience an inability to move.
It is a transition state between wakefulness and rest characterized by complete muscle atonia (muscle weakness).

Being someone who has suffered from the conditions of sleep paralysis since early childhood, the effects in many ways have both consciously and subconsciously been a part of my creative process. I am beyond excited about this project, being able to combine my various skill sets and artistic talents towards ONE SOLE PROJECT for the first time
- in addition to bringing insight and understanding to the somewhat unspoken topic of Sleep Paralysis.
Risks and challenges
There is always a possibility that I will be faced with challenges regarding this project. But rest assured that in the 10+ years I've worked as a multimedia producer, running a gambit of creative projects, working under tight schedules and dead lines - I am perfectly conditioned to perform under pressure and with the funds raised, will be able to hire any necessary assistance to ensure the completion this project. We have a dedicated crew who will assist in discovering everything about the DAETRIX series by giving you the most up-to-date project information at regular intervals, and maintaining a consistent presence on Social Networks: Facebook, Twitter, etc...

Q&A
How long will it take to produce the film?
We plan to release teasers and short clips in the interim. We would like to have the first episode by summer 2016. With enough funding, we can hire the necessary hands to assist the project flow.
What will you do with the funds raised?
This project is more than an animated film. It will be our launch pad for a variety of creative projects. With the funds raised, we will have the financial backing to produce, promote and advertise our releases while assisting in securing a home location for our creative studio. Not to mention the funds needed to produce some cool rewards. Thank you in advance for your contribution to help WIARLAWD gain it's first step as an independent studio.
Beyond your initial goal, what will you do if you achive the stretch goals?
Animated films at this length and detail level take countless sleepless hours for animators to produce scene after scene. Artists, animators, voice over talent and additional expenses come into play. With each tier of our stretch goals reached, we will add more creative chaos to the mix. Full episodes featuring more action and exclusive music+ add on's to the rewards. The higher tier stretch goal will allow a full film production (comprised of the three full length 30min episodes.)
Why did you create your own crowd funding site vs using kickstarter?
After uploading our project to kickstarter servers we quickly realized kicktarter doesn't base their special features off algorythems as they are rumored to. Intead the editors pick and choose which projects they want to support with "staff picks" "projects we love" "new & noteworthy" and weekly promo emails. We noticed our project never made it to the front of search and was pretty much invisable to the 2 million visitors they claim to get monthly. uppon contacting the site we were told to advertise our page the best we could and that they recive too many requests to consider featuring us in any of the multiple featured promo channels they have throughout the site. SO... We figured, why promote a site that was already far too busy to promote us. Instead we could spend those dollars promoting our own site and gaining our own audience for crowd funding. That being said... Thank you for doing your part in helping the little guy.
